The Historical Steam Train offers a journey back in time on board of an entirely restored 1912 train with all its original characteristics. The train, featuring solid iron and warm woodwork, is made up of five coaches and a steam engine.
The historical train sets out from San Carlos de Bariloche station, steams along the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, crosses the bridge over River Ñirihuau, and stops for a few minutes at Ñirihuau
station, from which there is a splendid view of the magnificent Andes Mountain Range, including Mount Tronador and Mount Capilla.
The journey continues to Perito Moreno station, where, among other activities, you can take a walk to Los Juncos pond and the hill called Cerro Elefante, as well as visit the old railway buildings.
