In winter, don’t forget to check out the road conditions before heading out on the 105 National Parks.
Duration: all day.
Price: from $ 94, without cascade; $ 107 with cascade (from April 1, 2008)
Total return distance, including Los Alerces Cascade: 225 km
Be aware that there is an access charge to Nahuel Huapi National Park on this tour, and there are timetables for using the road leading up and down.
Get ready to be amazed. This very special tour will take you to one of the most beautiful areas of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, where you’ll visit forests, lakes, beaches, mountains and waterfalls, as well as see the highest mountain in the area, Tronador, which rises to 3478 meters above sea level and forms a natural frontier between Argentina and Chile. Besides the magnificent scenery, there are unusual natural wonders such as the “black glacier” Ventisquero Negro, which originates from the spotless white ice at the top of the Tronador. This is the source of River Manso, a typical mountain river that winds down to the Pacific Ocean flowing over rapids and waterfalls such as the renowned Los Alerces Cascade, and linking up a range of beautiful lakes.
The tour can be taken to Tronador only, or together with a visit to Los Alerces Cascade. For both tours, enquire at the information offices about the times at which the road is open for driving up and down.
