At km 1 of Los Pioneros Ave, you get to a slightly winding road that takes you up to Piedras Blancas winter sports parking lot, after driving for about 5 km.
Piedras Blancas has characteristic features that distinguish it from other winter resorts.
It is actually the birthplace of skiing in the region, imported by Otto Meiling, who built Refugio Berghoff on Cerro Otto.
The beautiful snow clad mountains provide a haven for hikers, climbers and cross-country skiers.
